Job Description

As a Security Officer - Transportation Access Control in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a transportation location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This is a driving post, requiring you to operate vehicles as part of your duties. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the transportation facility.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering the location, following site-specific protocols.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or contractors with access-related inquiries.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related breaches, or emergencies according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations or lockdowns.
• Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as required to address security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
