As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Retail in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer at a major retail location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the area. Your role involves interacting with visitors and staff, providing outstanding customer service, and responding to situations as they arise. This is a driving position, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or violations of site policies.
• Observe and report any unusual activities or situations discovered during patrols.
• Assist with crowd management and access control as needed within the retail location.
• Collaborate with store personnel and/or management to address concerns and support a secure shopping environment.
• Complete required reports and logs to document security-related activities and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
