Job Description

As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Palmdale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, where you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related issues, and support guests and tenants with clear, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in line with AU Driver Policy requirements. Bring teamwork and integrity to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and/or mall environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including addressing disturbances, medical calls, and/or policy violations, and escalating to law enforcement and/or management as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and/or property concerns, complete written reports, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control and customer flow as needed, including observing entrances, supporting store and/or tenant requests, and providing directions and information to visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
