What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, exterior areas, parking lots, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, high-traffic areas, and/or points of sale for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and other security-related issues, while maintaining a professional presence.
• Assist with access control, crowd management, and incident response during busy shopping periods, special events, and/or deliveries, following post orders and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
