As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Control in Oakland, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor entry and exit points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence will support a secure environment for employees and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment for personnel and property.
- Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors with access procedures and site-specific protocols.
- Carry out security-related procedures and respond to emergency situations or incidents in a calm and problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential hazards.
- Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance issues observed during patrols or while performing access control duties.
- Collaborate with site staff and Allied Universal management to communicate concerns or observations related to security-related matters at the location.

Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
