Job Description

As a Security Guard - Industrial Facility Patrol in Sunnyvale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to everyone onsite. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or incidents to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
• Assist in access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and maintaining visitor logs as required.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and assisting first responders as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related issues and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner, following Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
