Job Description

As a Security Guard - Access Control - Overnight Shift in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and exits within a bustling logistics and distribution location. Your presence and professionalism will support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide exceptional customer service, all while exemplifying our company's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Assist with access control procedures for employees, visitors, and vehicles at the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and granting entry as appropriate.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and offering assistance to individuals entering or exiting the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to observe for security-related concerns and report any irregularities.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in daily logs and/or incident reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Work collaboratively with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a professional environment and promote a positive atmosphere.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
