As a Security Control Assessor Representative at Rise8, you will: 

  • Create, manage, and maintain Authorization to Operate (A&A) packages including System Security Plans (SSPs), Security Control Traceability Matrices (SCTMs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and other artifacts
  • Support the entry and maintenance of data into information system security systems of record, such as eMASS
  • Provide continuous monitoring and lifecycle management support activities through both manual and automated methods
  • Assist in the development of security control weakness mitigation and management strategies
  • Provide unique functional expertise necessary to interpret requirements and ensure successful performance, including subject matter expertise and unique mission/technical knowledge
  • Offer insights to teams to aid the understanding of customer business requirements and support the analysis, evaluation, and implementation of systems policies, strategy plans, and other relevant projects

Qualifications 

  • 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in roles such as RMF Engineer, ISSM/ISSO, Security Controls Validator, or information assurance engineer
  • IAT Level III certification such as CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP required
  • Hands-on experience with eGRC tools such as eMASS, XACTA, RSA Archer, etc.
  • Familiarity with Air Force risk management policies/procedures, including the Fast Track ATO Handbook & AF Continuous ATO Playbook
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas suitable for executive level consumption
  • Capability to use prior experience and knowledge to address new situations, particularly during client interactions
  • Ability to seamlessly incorporate new knowledge or information during client interactions
  • US Citizenship and possession of a Secret security clearance with eligibility for the Top Secret/SCI level

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • B.A. or B.S. in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • Previous experience supporting Department of Defense RMF processes
  • Experience evaluating information security compliance against STIGs
  • Cloud platform experience – AWS, Azure, Google GCP
  • Advanced degree in Information Security or a related discipline

 

Salary 

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $111,132 - 166,698 regardless of final candidate lo
