Job Description:
Distinguished Technologist, HPC & AI Security Architect (Individual Contributor, Director-level)
Join a high-visibility, technical leadership role driving the end-to-end security of next-generation High Performance Computing (HPC) and AI systems. As the senior individual contributor in this space, you will shape architecture, roadmaps, and fielded solutions that protect critical research and enterprise workloads. This role offers autonomy to invent and influence product direction, the visibility to brief executives and customers, and the technical leadership to advance industry practice.
Focusing on the end-to-end security needs for customers deploying high performance computing and AI systems, the work consists of architecting, designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting and debugging systems, software and solutions for research and/or research development of product, services, and solutions for HPE’s portfolio. Requires a broad knowledge and application of engineering disciplines, methodologies and tools.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the end-to-end security architecture of HPC & AI systems within HPE.
- Develops strategy and technology roadmaps for addressing security across multiple platforms and products in the HPC & AI Business unit. Ability to work collaboratively with security experts across the company.
- Communicates strategy and technology roadmaps to executive staff, industry partners, and customers; leverages recognized technical and business expertise to influence, guide, and shape business strategy and decision making at the highest organizational levels.
- Provides consultation, design input, and feedback for development and design reviews across multiple organizations and architectures.
- Guides and mentors less-experienced staff members to set an example of secure system design and development innovation and excellence.
- Participates in and provides input on process for selection of future technical leaders.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's, Master's or PHD degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- 10+ years experience in security technologies
- Typically 15+ years total experience
- Industry standards body participation preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven track record of delivering security solutions to solve real-world problems.
- Deep understanding of security technologies, including zero-trust security architecture, hardware and software provenance, identity management, secrets management, government specified security standards and compliance requirements etc.
- Ability to present internally and externally on security technologies.
- Ability to work across business unit teams to deliver complex solution requirements, and drive strategic engagements.
- Industry expert regarding development of security solutions.
- History of innovation and successful deployment of solutions in the field of system security.
- Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience in overall architecture of HPC & AI systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Ability to effectively communicate architectures, design proposals, and negotiate options at the most senior organizational levels.
