Join our Security Team as a Security Analyst I and embark on a 24-month FastTrack Development Program that accelerates growth from an early-career technologist to a fully qualified security-operations practitioner! During the program you will balance structured coursework/certification milestones with hands-on rotations across our security, compliance and industrial-security functions. This is a rare and fantastic opportunity to accelerate your career development. This position reports to our Facility Security Officer (FSO).
Specific duties include (but are not limited to):
- Proactively monitor and triage alerts in Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike Falcon, and complementary SIEM/EDR tools.
- Lead initial incident-response actions, escalating as needed to senior engineers for containment and eradication.
- Administer Microsoft 365 security configurations, zero-trust access controls, and conditional-access policies.
- Drive continuous-improvement projects in vulnerability management, security automation, and tabletop exercises.
- Produce audit-ready evidence for NIST 800-171, CMMC, Insider-Threat, and related frameworks.
- Collaborate with our Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) and use tools such as CrowdStrike Falcon and RADICL XTP to remediate threats and collect compliance artefacts.
- Assist the Facility Security Officer with Insider-Threat, Industrial-Security, and NIST 800-171/CMMC documentation.
- Update Fixed-Facility Checklist (FFC) items and other security deliverables.
- Resolve a limited queue of Tier-1/2 IT security tickets each week to reinforce learning.
- Participate in weekly mentorship sessions and present quarterly progress summaries.
Work Conditions:
- This role primarily involves desk/office work with occasional data-center access.
- You must be able to lift up to 25?lbs. for equipment moves and remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
Requirements
Education/Experience/Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three (1–3) years of hands-on IT support, system administration, or help-desk experience.
- Foundational knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Demonstrated interest in cybersecurity (home labs, coursework, or prior certs).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Preferred experience/skills:
- Completion of an entry-level IT or cybersecurity certification or bootcamp (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Google IT Support Professional, Microsoft Fundamentals/AZ-900).
- Familiarity with security or cloud platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, or Splunk.
- Awareness of foundational security frameworks (NIST 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001) and associated best practices.
- Exposure to scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) is a plus.
- Experience working in a regulated, government, or security-conscious environment is helpful but not required.
- Current Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
- U.S. Citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
- All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
