SEASONAL SOIL GRINDER

AgSource is looking for a Seasonal Soil Grinder to grind and prepare soil samples properly for lab analysis. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. 

Hours are Monday-Friday 5:00am - 12:00pm/2:00pm. This is an immediate opening that is expected to be needed until end of May 2025. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Grind and prepare soil samples properly for lab analysis.
• Maintain and monitor sample trays, so adequate trays are available for checking in daily samples that are received.
• Dispose of soil samples after analysis as dictated by the Soil Laboratory Supervisor.
• Maintain and clean the soil check-in room on a regular basis.
• Break down and flatten all cardboard boxes in accordance with the policies of the city recycling program.
• Promote and adhere to safety in the workplace.
• Use personal protective and safety equipment as required.  Follow safe work procedures and   reports unsafe conditions and injuries immediately.  Participate in safety meetings and safety   committees.
• Perform additional work assigned by the Soil Lab Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or GED.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.
• Detail orientated nature.
• Basic computer skills
