SEASONAL SOIL GRINDER
AgSource is looking for a Seasonal Soil Grinder to grind and prepare soil samples properly for lab analysis. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Hours are Monday-Friday 5:00am - 12:00pm/2:00pm. This is an immediate opening that is expected to be needed until end of May 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Grind and prepare soil samples properly for lab analysis.
- Maintain and monitor sample trays, so adequate trays are available for checking in daily samples that are received.
- Dispose of soil samples after analysis as dictated by the Soil Laboratory Supervisor.
- Maintain and clean the soil check-in room on a regular basis.
- Break down and flatten all cardboard boxes in accordance with the policies of the city recycling program.
- Promote and adhere to safety in the workplace.
- Use personal protective and safety equipment as required. Follow safe work procedures and reports unsafe conditions and injuries immediately. Participate in safety meetings and safety committees.
- Perform additional work assigned by the Soil Lab Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Detail orientated nature.
- Basic computer skills
