About the role
- Execute jobs according to production schedule and follows instruction documented on the job ticket.
- Review the job ticket and review the amount of product to seam.
- Verify the notes and any customer specification on the ticket so that the order is executed with accuracy
- Set up equipment in accordance with job specification
- Operates machine to seam and/or rewind continuous lengths of various substrates into customer specific sizes.
- Check edges of finished rolls of flexible material to ensure they are smooth and even.
- Conduct visual inspection throughout seaming and stop and remove sleeves with imperfections.
- Take client samples as written on the ticket and place in an envelope.
- Take extra sleeves for quality control and place in the job ticket envelope.
- Place completed rolls of seamed sleeves on skid.
- Completes required paperwork specific to the job
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area by sweeping up around the machine and disposing of garbage and ensure everything is tidy before leaving for the day.
- Assist in the shipping, cutting and press area when required.
- Performs other production related work assignment(s) as requested by the Team Leader or production management.
