What is the Job all about?

 

The job is responsible for promoting and supporting Agile practices.  Scrum Masters do this by helping everyone understand Scrum theory, practices, rules, and values. The Scrum Master has two major accountabilities, which are to support the Product Owner, to assist the Development Team.                

 

This role will be directly reporting to the Manager and to be based in Ortigas, Pasig City.

 

Your main responsibilities:

 

• Coach the Development Team in self-management and cross-functionality.  Cognizant about team health and act/guide the team to ensure they continuously improve the way of working.
• Facilitate Scrum events as requested or needed.
• Assist the Product Owner in understanding of product planning in an empirical environment.  Ensure the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value and help the Product Owner in understanding and practicing agility.
• Guide the team to create high-value products.
• Remove impediments to the team’s progress.
• Find techniques for effective Product Backlog management.         

 

  Your background:

 

• Certified as Scrum master or equivalent experience.
• 5+ Years of experience with agile ways of working.
• Expert in understanding of team dynamics and how teams work.
• Bachelor or master's degree in relevant areas or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Jira or Azure DevOps or other software development management tools.  
• Advanced communication skills both orally and in written English.
• Developer or tester background is good to have
