CNA School Health- Float
Monday- Friday
This position will "float" to all schools where needed

Under the leadership and direction of a RN, provides health services to facilitate the student’s optimal physical, mental, emotional and social growth and development. Provides care to medically involved students. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintaining the school health clinic, following the individualized health care plans developed by the school RN, providing physical care for the students, maintaining a sanitary and safe environment, administer physician ordered medication and treatments, ordering supplies for your assigned health office, completing daily and monthly records, and attending student related meetings. The CMT Float will provide services in any WCPS school building based on program needs, including but not limited to, staff abscences, long term leave, unfilled positions, hearing and vision screening, etc. School assignments can vary daily. 

Education - High School Diploma or GED.

Experience - One year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

License/Certification - Current certification in state of Maryland as a Certified Nursing Assistant required. Must successfully complete the Maryland Board of Nursing 20-hour Medication Technician Cerification course within 30 days of hire. Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Ability to exercise professional judgment in making decisions. Ability to appropriately and effectively communicate with students, parents, administrators and other school personnel. Valid driver's licence and current automobile insurance required.
