Description
The Scheduling/Credentialing Coordinator ensures that scheduling/credentialing operations and processes in all Iredell Ambulatory Surgery Centers operate efficiently and professionally while providing a high standard of customer satisfaction. The coordinator partners closely with RN Clinical Coordinators to develop and advance the day-to-day processes and procedures necessary to achieve top performance. The coordinator is responsible for supporting the surgery centers in application of tools, data collection, scheduling of procedures, and timely credentialing of all providers/staff. The coordinator assists with all patient related functions to grow and create positive patient relations.
Job Duties
- Displays excellent teamwork and accountability to excel in a high performing organization.
- Optimizes daily scheduling and credentialing processes and work performance to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Audits scheduling and credentialing errors and provides tools to RN Clinical Coordinators including training and performance support.
- Functions as a facilitator between scheduling/credentialing staff, RN Clinical Coordinators and providers.
- Provides coaching opportunities on service delivery, phone etiquette, and outside provider office communications.
- Works with physician offices to ensure a smooth scheduling process for all ASC surgeons.
- Ensures credentialing files are complete for surgeons and staff for regulatory compliance of the ASC.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of related ASC experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.) and all office equipment.
- Ability to perform and instruct/train others in essential medical office functions.
- Ability to make decisions independently and to resolve problems/conflicts in an effective manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
