Scheduling and Staffing Supervisor

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Scheduling and Staffing Supervisor to join our team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Has authority for daily operations of employee scheduling and staffing in partnership with the Manager of Staffing & Scheduling. This includes responsibility for activities such as assisting with hiring, staff development, performance management, evaluations, and scheduling. Leads, manages, and evaluates aspects of scheduling and staffing to ensure appropriate outcomes. Will work variable shifts, including department after-hour on-call shifts as needed, to complete responsibilities and meet the needs of the department. Promotes department mission to provide optimal scheduling and staffing and enhance staff satisfaction, while engaging team members, utilizing resources, and practicing fiscal responsibility. This position will assist in identification of goals and has shared responsibility with the Manager & Director for process improvements in the department.
Work Schedule:
- M-F Days with on-call requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree
- 5 years’ experience staffing or scheduling in acute care nursing setting
- Proven human relations and leadership skills in organizing, planning, and directing staff, including verbal and written skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other leaders, hospital staff, and department staff.
- Outstanding judgment and analytical skills, and ability to make immediate decisions when necessary.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two years supervisory experience in a hospital/clinic setting preferred
- Experience with Excel preferred
