Lockheed Martin Space in Ft Belvoir, Virginia is
seeking an Satellite Systems
Engineer intern to join our team. In this dynamic role you may support a 24/7 crew or work as part of a day
staff team within Flight Operations, contributing to
critical customer missions. The successful candidate
will have experience and/or knowledge of on orbit
spacecraft operations, and basic understanding of
orbital mechanics.
Please note that this role requires a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance and complete Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI Poly).
Basic Qualifications
• Student enrolled in a Bachelor’s or above Degree program in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Applicants must have a current TS/SCI clearance. This position requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen and is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired skills
• Experience working with on-orbit spacecraft or
satellite flight operations.
• Familiarity in one of the following: LINUX,
MATLAB, JAVA, C++, PERL, ORACLE/SQL, HTML,
XML.
• Understanding of software / hardware
infrastructure, middleware, and system
architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
• Proficient with MS Office.
