Responsibilities
Noblis ESI is seeking a Satellite Systems Engineer with a national space enterprise and engineering background to work with our clients in supporting the future National space architecture.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as program support to the government Program Manager (PM) with responsibility for technical knowledge of the assigned teams and programs/projectsProvide technical guidance and recommendations related to the integration of National Systems-based capabilities
- Will engage with the national and tactical communities to collaboratively design, document, validate, and deliver architectures, systems and innovative capabilities in support of the national space architecture
- Lead IPT meetings, technical discussions, and review process boards to include but not limited to ERBs, CCBs, SRRs, and PMRs
- Support the PM in multiple areas which include systems, mission, and enterprise engineering; program management; analytic support; technical analysis; user requirement management/development; architecture; and customer outreach and support
- Serve as technical expert in their assigned area
- Other responsibilities include administrative and technical support to the Government leadership team, internal cross tower coordination, external mission partners and other DoD/IC customers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in STEM and 5+ years of experience.
- Must possess an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Counter-Intelligence Polygraph
- Experience in Systems and Project Engineering, with emphasis on Government acquisition in the IC or DoD
- Possess strong Systems Engineering discipline with an emphasis on sensor payloads, payload integration, collection and processing capabilities, and sensor calibration and testing
- Experience working satellite systems and subsystems from architecture-definition documentation (ADD/CONOPS) through requirements derivation and allocation, performance metric generation and assessment, modeling, test case development, and requirement closure tracing
- Ability to characterize sensor contribution within a multi-INT, multi-sensor enterprise
- Ability to problem solve in a rapidly changing environment and interface with the customer daily
- Track and respond to office tasking, build, and present program briefings, and update project schedules and calendars
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and perform other duties as assigned
- Possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to manage multiple customer requests simultaneously
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent relationship building and management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in a STEM field is highly desired
- 5 to 15 years of NRO systems engineering experience
- Familiarity with the IC and NRO enterprise architecture, DOD's space architecture, and translation of Statement of Capabilities and Enterprise Capability Document line items to CONOPs and architectures
- Experience developing, editing, and updating system architecture and CONOPs documentation as the system mission model matures
- Knowledge of Electro Optical, RADAR, SIGINT, Communications, Mission Management, and Mission processing systems supporting a National space architecture
- Experience generating and codifying inter-segment and inter-system interface requirements for major space mission systems
- Working knowledge of SAFe Agile or similar agile processes and JIRA and Confluence tools
- Certified in one or more of the following: INCOSE (or DAWIA equivalent), OMG Systems Modeler, Agile, Project Management, MBSE
- Ability to operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to summarize and brief senior level Government leaders, civilians, and military officers
- Be able to travel
