Role Overview

The SAP Engagement Manager owns the end‑to‑end success of assigned client engagements—serving as the primary point of contact, ensuring on‑time/on‑budget delivery, safeguarding margins, and driving client satisfaction and growth. The role orchestrates cross‑functional delivery teams and partners closely with Sales and Solution Architects to shape and deliver S/4HANA programs (Public Cloud and Private Cloud), aligning scope and value with client objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship & Outcomes

• Serve as the primary day‑to‑day contact for client leadership across the engagement lifecycle; build trusted, long‑term relationships.
• Translate business goals into engagement plans and measurable outcomes; ensure scope aligns to value.

Delivery & Program Orchestration (S/4HANA)

• Lead the planning and execution of S/4HANA initiatives (Public Cloud and/or Private Cloud), coordinating PMs, solution architects, consultants, and partner resources.
• Ensure delivery adheres to Argano methodology/standards and SAP Activate practices; manage risks, issues, and dependencies with clear mitigation plans.
• Drive quality, adoption, and value realization, prepping client stakeholders for go‑live and stabilization.

Commercial Management

• Protect engagement economics (margins, forecasting, staffing mix); manage SOW scope, change orders, and approvals.

Growth & Sales Support

• Partner with Sales and Solution Architects on pursuits and expansions: qualify opportunities, shape proposals, craft decks, and participate in orals.

Governance & Communication

• Run engagement cadence (status, steering, risk reviews); communicate progress and escalations crisply to executives.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Provide day‑to‑day direction to cross‑functional teams (without Director‑level line management); foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8–12 years in consulting/project delivery with significant client‑facing engagement management responsibility.
• Hands‑on experience leading SAP S/4HANA programs (Public Cloud and/or Private Cloud); understanding of SaaS ERP models and cloud adoption patterns.
• Proven ability to manage scope, budget, schedule, and margins across multi‑workstream engagements; strong risk/issue management.
• Exceptional communication and executive‑ready presence; able to translate complex concepts for business stakeholders.

Preferred

• SAP Activate and/or S/4HANA certifications; PMP/PRINCE2 or Agile credentials.
• Familiarity with RISE with SAP, cloud licensing models, and change management leading practices.

Location: Remote (U.S./CAN)
Travel: 50–80% (Willingness to travel as needed)
