In this role, we're all about getting our hands dirty. We're not after someone who's just overseeing things from a distance. We need a top-tier engineer who's ready to roll up their sleeves and dive deep into architecting and constructing our Salesforce system.

The ideal candidate will serve as the architect, offering crucial technical guidance, conducting risk analysis, maintaining quality standards, and spreading the good word about our technical vision to our development teams in Costa Rica. Collaboration is key here; we need someone who's adept at working with various stakeholders to ensure that our enterprise software and systems are built with the utmost precision.

This position demands more than just theoretical knowledge—it's all about practical application. You'll be hands-on in development, fostering collaboration, communicating effectively, staying updated with the latest trends, documenting processes clearly, sketching out workflow and architecture diagrams, providing code examples, implementing solutions, offering technical guidance, providing coaching and training, and tirelessly championing technical concepts.

Modality: Hybrid (3 days a week on-site)

What you'll be doing: 

  • Responsible for technical development, implementation, administration, and support of the integrations with the Salesforce Platform 

  • Converts system requirements into logical program designs, code modules and stable application systems 

  • Participate in the development and deployment of new features to support business initiatives, playing a leading role in the design of new/improved interfaces and functions within the platform 

  • Participates in peer Code Review/Pair-Programming Sessions 

  • Help architect efficient and scalable software solutions for business application platforms 

  • Develops technical design documents for software solutions independently 

  • Participate in the full SDLC (Agile), including requirement analysis, design and implementation, estimations, and other aspects of iterative development 

  • Perform unit, integration, and system level tests and develops any necessary supporting documentation 

  • Report status to development management and project/systems management 

  • Develop specification documents outlining technical requirements with associated solutions 

  • Provide technical support for maintenance of existing applications 

  • Able to effectively communicate across teams and roles

What you have: 

  • 5+ years’ experience working with Salesforce Sales Cloud 

  • Technical expertise and knowledge of software and application development 

  • Strong knowledge and experience of object-oriented methodologies and frameworks 

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and automated testing strategies is a strong plus 

  • Documentation of designs, installations, and technical administrative procedures 

  • Software development lifecycle methodologies and discipline 

  • Ability to maintain professional business relationships and effectively lead, triage, prioritize and resolve issues that arise in unpredicted situations 

  • Proficiency in a variety of programming related technologies and tools including Java, Apex, etc.

What will make you stand out: 

  • One of the following Certifications: Salesforce System Architect, Salesforce Application Architect or Salesforce Technical Architect 

  • Experience with Salesforce Community or Salesforce Service Cloud 

  • Experience with the financing industry 

  • Experience programing in Java and using the Spring framework
