WHAT YOU'LL DO
We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Administrator to join our CRM Platform Management team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of Viant’s Salesforce (SFDC) platform, providing essential support to end users across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Accounting.
The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for system administration, configuration, and customization, ensuring best practices are implemented to enhance system performance. Additionally, this role will involve the design, development, and maintenance of reports and dashboards to support Sales and senior management in data-driven decision-making.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment, directly contributing to the efficiency and success of our business operations.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • User Management & System Access: Onboard new users and oversee profiles, role hierarchies, team assignments, sharing rules, and system permissions to ensure secure and appropriate access.
  • Customization & Configuration: Develop and maintain custom objects, fields, page layouts, Lightning pages, record types, validation rules, and object settings to optimize system functionality.
  • Process Automation & Workflow Optimization: Design, modify, and manage Flows, assignment rules, approval processes, actions, and custom settings to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Create and maintain reports and dashboards using MS Excel, Salesforce (SFDC), and CRM Analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to define, document, and implement system requirements and customizations aligned with business needs.
  • System Integration & Functional Enhancements: Support the design, development, and implementation of SFDC features and integrations with CRM Analytics, Pardot, Salesforce Inbox, Slack, Asana, and other related platforms.
  • Change Management & Deployment: Manage change control procedures, including sandbox testing and production deployments, ensuring smooth system updates and enhancements.
  • Quality Assurance & UAT: Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for new functionalities, documenting results and providing feedback to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Data Management & Integrity: Audit user data entry for completeness and accuracy, manage large data imports/exports using Data Loader, and implement best practices to improve Salesforce data quality.
  • System Maintenance & Compliance: Perform proactive system maintenance, including security reviews, release updates, health checks, and system optimizations to ensure platform reliability and security.
  • Scalable Solution Design: Identify business requirements and translate them into best-practice, scalable Salesforce solutions, focusing on system efficiency and an exceptional user experience.
  • User Support & Training: Provide ongoing operational support, troubleshooting, and guidance for Salesforce users to maximize adoption and productivity.

MUST HAVE

  • Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certifications: Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder certification required.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Lightning.
  • Experience with SQL or SOQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce Flow for process automation.
  • Analytical & Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
