The Role
As a Finance Manager at Lumen, you will oversee a team of analysts managing the monthly sales close process and reporting global sales data accurately and on time. You will manage the sales data mart to align with reporting guidelines and work with IT to handle production processes, development activities and reporting tools. Your role includes contribution towards strategic planning, updating sales definitions annually, improving processes, driving continuous improvement, and overseeing the sales reporting function. You will coordinate with Sales, Sales Operations, FP&A, Accounting, and Sales Compensation teams, and support research on sales reporting matters.

This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.
The Main Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end Sales Reporting close processes with understanding of order entry/billings systems, data governance, corporate data warehouse architecture, reporting marts, reporting dashboards, sales definitions, and sales compensation impacts. Global annual sales KPI exceed $200M across multiple CRMs and over fifteen order entry systems. Key KPI for business performance with senior leadership scrutiny.
Co-develop and maintain global sales reports, reporting tools, and KPIs ensuring accuracy, reliability and performance.
Collaborate and drive critical cross-functional reporting projects across partners in FP&A, Sales, Operations, Sales Compensation, and IT (Plan and drive production support, testing, and development-related issues). Manage and build high performing teams; hire and retain the right talent in the right roles; set goals, delegate work, hold reports accountable; develop and empower direct reports to make decisions and act. Work closely with FP&A on alignment to budget/quota process.

Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and projects, some under tight time restraints.
Excellent written and verbal communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Desire to learn AI and apply to business processes. Technical proficiency with data manipulation and analysis using tools like SQL and Excel.
What We Look For in a Candidate
8 years of experience in technology, telecommunications or related industries.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Business, Management, Computer Science, or IT.
Skilled in managing daily/monthly production close activities and driving operational efficiencies in fast-paced environments.
Expertise in sales KPIs, sales compensation planning, business operations, financial acumen (accounting principles, SOX policies, auditing, and Data Warehouse systems), and SQL-based data management/mining.
Proven ability to interact with technical teams to develop and support enterprise-level solutions.
Strong communication, collaboration, project management, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
