Description

The Sales Associate Development Program offers an opportunity for high-potential, recent college graduates to develop the necessary sales skills and experience to be successful in Medical Sales.  An individual in this position will be mentored through product and sales training, as well as complete advanced corporate training, to develop into a successful sales representative at ASP Global. 

Through a mix of in-servicing and field-based selling experiences, a Sales Associate will coordinate and provide educational support while achieving set objectives for ASP Global assigned products, primarily the PRIMO brand.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide in-service support (technical, clinical, and educational) to ASP Global customers.  Primary product categories include Patient Care, Orthopedic, Surgical, and Wound Prevention (heel offloading, turning, and positioning, pressure redistribution, and safe patient handling).

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Position reports directly to the VP, Specialty Products, with a dotted line to the PRIMO Specialists.  The Sales Associate is responsible for increasing and promoting the sales of the ASP Product line, primarily the PRIMO brand, by assisting the field organization.
  • Sales Associates will be required to attend New Hire Training, followed by Field Training as advised by the VP, Specialty Products with Advanced Corporate Training targeted within six months of hire.  Thorough training will allow individuals to make fluent and effective presentations of all ASP Global products.
  • The Sales Associate will assist in coordinating and conducting in-services, educational events, and value-added programs at accounts identified by the VP, Specialty Products / PRIMO Specialists.  
  • The Sales Associate will work closely with contacts within accounts to coordinate in-services and assist in maintaining in-service schedules.
  • Sales Associates will assist the Field Sales Team in coordinating and monitoring product evaluations as determined by the VP, Specialty Products / PRIMO Specialists.  
  • The Sales Associate position will help manage activity in open territories (promotions, terminations, extended leaves, etc…) as necessary. 
  • The Sales Associate will increase their knowledge base through attendance of educational programs/seminars/conferences, reading journals, and participating in committee or group programs (ex: WOCN Society, AHHRM, ASPHP)
  • The Sales Associate will have access to all available ASP sales tools and databases to assist with targeting and other job-related functions.
  • May assist in preparing for large meetings, as identified by the VP, Specialty Products / PRIMO Specialists, including creating presentations, preparing sample packs and literature, and assisting in the actual meeting.
  • The Sales Associate will assist the VP, Specialty Products / PRIMO Specialists with specific cross-references and pricing analysis.
  • The Sales Associate will provide any Customer Service-related assistance as necessary and requested by VP, Specialty products / PRIMO Specialists.
