In the role of RPT Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in the patient care process. You will support our healthcare team by performing both clinical and administrative tasks that will enhance the patient experience and ensure our operations run smoothly. Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient preparation by obtaining medical histories and taking vital signs.
  • Support the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is ready and available.
  • Perform basic lab tests and assist in specimen collection and management.
  • Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate, confidential medical records.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate office communications efficiently.
  • Educate patients about their treatment plans, medications, and guidelines for skincare.
  • Ensure examination and procedure rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, ideally in dermatology.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, particularly in dermatology.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and team members.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a busy healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software applications.
