As a Robotic Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of robotic systems used in manufacturing and field services.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement robotic solutions for various manufacturing and field services processes, such as inspection, material handling, and assembly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with robotic systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, troubleshooting guides, and maintenance schedules.
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades of robotic systems, including programming and configuration of robotic controllers.
- Work closely with the robotics engineering team to integrate new robotic systems and technologies into existing manufacturing and field services processes.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for robotic system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Provide training and support to production staff on the safe and effective operation of robotic systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics, machine vision, and AI, and apply this knowledge to improve robotic system performance and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Strong technical background in robotics, mechatronics, or a related field, with a focus on robotic system maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation.
- Experience with robotic programming languages, such as C++, Python, or Java, and familiarity with robotic control systems, such as PLCs or robot controllers.
- Knowledge of machine vision and AI technologies, including computer vision, deep learning, and machine learning algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to travel abroad as needed (approximately 10-20% of the time).
Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals at the Master's level for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with robotic simulation software, such as RobotStudio or Simulation Studio.
- Familiarity with industry-standard robotic systems, such as KUKA, ABB, or FANUC.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to robotic system operation and maintenance.
- Certification in robotic maintenance, repair, or operation, such as a Certified Robotic Technician (CRT) or Certified Robotics Engineer (CRE).

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
