Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) for FDOT roadway design projects, ensuring compliance with FDOT, AASHTO, and applicable design standards.
- Lead the design, analysis, and development of roadway plans using Bentley OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and FDOT CADD standards.
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of roadway projects including horizontal alignments, vertical alignments, 3D modeling and cross-sections, pavement design, and temporary traffic control plans, quantities, and cost estimates.
- Collaborating with clients, sub-consultant partners, technical staff, and managers across multiple disciplines to develop quality deliverables within schedule and budgetary requirements.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and design staff.
- Support DRMP’s business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations for FDOT projects.
What you'll need
- Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 5+ years of transportation roadway design experience
- Limited Access Experience (desired)
- Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads Designer
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables while meeting deadlines
- Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
