AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Civil Engineering Intern – Spring 2026 to join our Orlando (Maitland), FL office. This intern will be mentored by and will collaborate with top Engineering associates on our team.  The position will assist on both design and plan preparation for roadway design.  This is an amazing opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a better understanding of the Transportation Engineering Industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Gathers, logs and summarizes field notes or other data to be used by technicians or professionals in technical studies or projects. 

• Maintains records or files of technical data or documents. 

• Performs simple math calculations. 

• Performs simple drafting and CAD assignments following detailed instructions. 

• Assists in the preparation of graphic displays and presentation materials. 

• Performs such other duties as the Supervisor may from time to time deem necessary. 

QUALIFICATIONS  

• EXPERIENCE: 0 -2 years of experience 

• EDUCATION: Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an accredited ABET university.   

• SPECIAL SKILLS: 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously. 

• Prior internship with an engineering firm a plus. 

• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience. 

• Experience or exposure to FDOT plans preparation and design standards. 

• Specific interest in Transportation/Roadway Design. 

• Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn. 

• Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
