40Summary:
The Manager, Heart Transplant Program is a member of the Nursing team responsible for implementing the clinical and administrative continuum of care for heart transplant and VAD patients, from initial evaluation and committee selection to post-operative recovery. This role facilitates multidisciplinary protocols, manages complex diagnostic data, and develops comprehensive nursing care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes and seamless coordination between clinical teams, insurers, and national waiting lists.
Monday - Friday plus call
Must have cardiac transplant program development and/or coordination experience.
MINIMALLY REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Education:
- 5 years of experience in intensive care with solid organ transplant or VAD experience
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification
- Registered Nurse license, State of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of hire.
