Description
The primary responsibility of the Clinical Nurse Supervisor is to coordinate the Independent Living resident Clinical services and to oversee the Catered Living neighborhood which is licensed under Assisted Living.
- Current licensed nurse with the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Must have a minimum of two to five years related experience.
- Ability to work with confidential information and maintain its’ integrity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong phone etiquette.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and having good organizational skills.
- Strong customer service skills; maintain a hospitality approach to engaging with all individuals.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license in Virginia or transferrable license to Virginia.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license and meets driver eligibility requirements per Sunnyside Communities policy.
- Knowledge of management and supervisory principles and practices.
- Customer service skills; maintain a hospitality approach when engaging all individuals.
Preferred:
- Minimum of five years of management related experience.
- Knowledge of state and federal Medicare/Medicaid and Nursing Home and Assisting Living regulations.
- Prior experience with company utilized software – PointClickCare (PCC), Paylocity, OnShift, etc.
Essential Job Duties:
· Implements and organizes oversite of all clinical services provided to our Independent Living residents. Services include but are not limited to:
- Labs, foot care, ear care, dressing changes, immunizations, Covid/flu testing, suture removal, other treatments etc.
- Respond to Independent Living emergencies by assessing their needs and recommending next steps for care.
· Provides oversight and supervision of the Catered Living Program, licensed under Assisted Living, to meet regulatory compliance.
· Dispenses medications and provides other treatments to our Catered Living residents.
· Supervises and works closely with the Registered Medication Aide to provide nursing services to our Catered Living residents.
· Completes UAI assessments.
· Completes Individual Service Plan (ISP) assessments for all residents
· Participates in Service Plan meetings
· Completes all necessary paperwork for admissions, transfers, and discharge planning.
· Transcribes doctors’ orders accurately.
· Participate in the on-call rotation.
· Completes annual performance evaluations for staff.
· Keeps Director of Health Services and/or management aware of significant Resident/employee problems.
· Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeaner
· Possesses strong communications skills between other staff members, residents, and families.
· Makes effective use of time.
· Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
· Attend all in-services, training and meetings as required by Federal and State Regulations, company and community policies.
· Demonstrate a commitment to safety by following safety rules and guidelines; follow good housekeeping practices, take proper care of equipment and perform job duties and responsibilities in a safe and responsible manner.
· Demonstrate dependability, reliability and punctuality. Report to work when scheduled, ready to work.
· Other duties as assigned by nurse managers and director.
