Supervisory experience managing and maintaining material handling systems. Must be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of mechanical equipment & components including drives, gearboxes, sprockets, chains, bearings, guide rollers and other related equipment. Also have strong electrical skills including wiring, AC Power, AC Motors, electrical drawing & schematics and control panels. Knowledge and experience with the following controls components is highly prized: Servo Drives, PLC, PC Controllers, DC Power Supplies, optical devices (i.e. encoders, photo eyes, etc.).

Tasks and Qualifications:

Must have the ability to track & measures Key Performance Indicators and Fault Data, evaluate & analyze the data, implement & direct improvement.  Ability to create reports and communication materials to best report and demonstrate continuous improvement of maintenance and operations of material handling equipment to our customer.  Must have working experience with MS office products . 

 

Key responsibilities shall include but not be limited to: 

• Identify predictive maintenance repairs that are required to maintain system availability. 

 

Assist the Resident Site Maintenance Manager with all the following responsibilities: 

• Preventative and corrective maintenance. 

• Coordinate and schedule equipment availability for routine preventative maintenance or repairs with 3PL and K-C operations. 

• Provide reporting and feedback to the customer and to the 3PL. 

• Ensure identification and proper management of spare parts inventories utilizing Sprocket CMMS. 

• Ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe manner and that all personnel under his/her direction practice safe work habits and abide by the safety rules in accordance with the safety policies set forth by Dematic and it’s Customers. 

• Direct and coordinate all on-site maintenance activity within the scope of the contract.  

• Interview and hire Dematic’s on-site maintenance personnel. 

• Provide daily, on-site communication with 3PL’s warehouse operators and management personnel.
