Our Impact:

The Risk Appetite and Insights team is part of Enterprise Risk Division. The team facilitates the development, monitoring and reporting of enterprise-wide risk profile and insights to support risk management decision-making by the Board and senior management.

Your Impact:

This individual will:

  • Design, direct and manage the reporting of the Enterprise’s risk profile to the Board, Risk Committee and FHFA, including agenda preparations, quality and timeliness of information, and effectiveness and depth of key risk topics

  • Facilitate the development, monitoring and reporting of risk profile across financial, operational and compliance risks

  • Oversee data quality, own, maintain and evolve the database and technology underpinning risk reporting, collaborate with business and finance to improve data flow and infrastructure

  • Manage Enterprise risk management committee structure, ensuring appropriate governance for material and adequate escalation paths for key risk matters, ensure the practice is consistent with regulatory expectations and industry best practices

  • Develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships within and outside of Enterprise Risk to drive efficiency and ensure clear and concise executive-level reporting.

  • Manage team with experienced and junior members, sets goals and prioritize deliverables

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above, advanced studies/degree preferred with 12+ years of experience in risk analytics, risk reporting or other risk management related fields

  • 4 years of management experience

  • Experienced in developing risk analytics, Board-level risk reporting, has the ability to convey risk insights and interpret risk profile data intuitively, concisely and clearly

  • Broad understanding of the Enterprise’s business model and risk exposure across all risk domains. Some fundamental understanding of models and how they influence risk profile metrics

  • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft office suite, experienced in database and data visualization tools (SAS, SQL, tableau, Wdesk, PowerBI etc)

  • Experienced in driving best-in-class execution, focusing on quality, accuracy and timeliness, with exceptional attention to details

  • Experienced in setting, owning and executing governance procedure and process level risk and control

  • Solution-focused mindset with the ability to make logical connections from vast amounts of information

  • Ability to manage well under pressure and tight deadlines, stay highly organized despite changing priorities involving large number of stakeholders across divisions

  • Excellent communication skills and strong diplomatic and interpersonal skills, experienced in interaction with senior executives

  • Ability to improve processes to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness

  • Experience in managing teams with broad accountability in a complex environment
