Summary
Delivers, creates and manages specific software and process training to LVHN colleagues and application-designated super users. Duties include instructing, directing and/or checking the work of others, including direct team members, as it relates to Revenue Cycle. Professional expert in application training and the Revenue Cycle process. Collects and analyzes data from LVHN departments such as potential new workflows, procedures or policies that pertain to revenue cycle management. Identifying gaps in workflows and recommends next steps in process improvement and develops training solutions. Devises or modifies curriculum delivery to solve complex computer navigation problems. Training designed to include multiple modalities such as e-learning activities, instructor led training, webpage development. Leads the development of new curriculum for EPIC based process training. Recommends the implementation of existing and emerging methods of training delivery to replace or enhance existing training methods while also ensuring curriculum adheres to compliant billing standards.
Job Duties
- Analyzes complex workflow processes, feasibility, or educational phases of large project requests Troubleshoots operational problems and designs process improvement workflows. Leads in order to operationalize workflows with collaboration of other departments.
- Demonstrates ability to manage the educational phases of user software projects and revenue cycle initiatives. Leads the development and maintenance of Revenue Cycle Education Curriculum and programs. Leads curriculum redesign projects/programs to ensure increased customer service, regulatory compliance, reduce accounts receivable, increase revenue opportunities and increase employee satisfaction.
- Demonstrates high degree of professional competence in all aspects of job performance in the revenue cycle including front end processes, billing, compliance standards, and system process understanding in order to assist end users.
- Develops Revenue Cycle Education and Process Improvement materials with a keen eye to process flow, technical, and system understanding. Assists colleagues and students in order to support user training efforts for new and existing LVHN systems and departments.
- Maintains strong understanding of systems and operational workflow.
- Utilizes effective communication and skills in interpersonal interactions with users, students, and fellow employees, vendors, and the public.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Healthcare, Business, Communications or related field.
- 3 years experience in healthcare, patient access, or revenue cycle with education or training experience.
- Ability to manage the education phases of the revenue cycle initiatives.
- Knowledge of workflow analysis, lean methodologies, and process improvement.
- Strong understanding of operational workflows and the healthcare industry.
- Must work effectively in demanding and rapidly changing environments.
- Flexible with technology and the ability to learn new software systems quickly (including remote training modules).
- Pays high attention to details and level of learners involved.
- Must remain current with the technologies identified for use in adult education.
- Proficient in Microsoft suite, including Publisher.
- Ability to serve as a mentor/resource to fellow RCE colleagues.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to lead a project and confidently delegate tasks to team members.
