The Assistant Manager plays a key leadership role within the shop, partnering with the Shop Manager to drive performance, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and support stylist and bartender development. This role is a blend of operations, team leadership, customer service, and hands-on support.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, solutions-oriented, team-driven, and passionate leadee that can maintain Drybar’s high standards of quality, culture, and guest experience.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist Shop Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring all shifts run smoothly

  • Manage and run the front desk, ensuring efficient check-in/check-out, appointment flow, and exceptional guest interactions

  • Drive and support membership and retail sales, coaching the team to confidently recommend products and services

  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and upholding Drybar standards

  • Support team development by providing in-the-moment coaching and feedback

  • Monitor team KPIs and help motivate staff to meet performance and sales goals

  • Help manage labor, supply orders, inventory, and shop cleanliness

  • Serve as the Manager on Duty in the Shop Manager’s absence

  • Partner with the Shop Manager to onboard and train new hires

  • Handle client escalations professionally and promptly

  • Foster a positive team culture aligned with Drybar’s Heart & Soul values

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of prior leadership experience in a retail, salon, or service-focused environment

  • Experience in sales-driven environments, with the ability to lead a team in meeting membership and retail goals

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

  • Cosmetology license preferred, but not required

  • Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays
