Retail Sales Associate (Uniform Store Associate)

 Job Summary

The Uniform Store Associate is genuine, friendly, and customer service oriented. They will work cooperatively with our sales team and other distribution team members to grow existing customers, create new ones, and meet monthly sales quotas while increasing customer satisfaction. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers
• Restock showroom shelves
• Maintain sales area and product displays
• Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner.
• Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
• Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
• Present price, credit, and terms following standard procedures and customers’ profitability profile
• Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns.
• Provide accurate information regarding the availability of in-stock items
• Proactively recommend items needed by the customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
• Increase sales and average order size using cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and offering promotional sale items.
• Educate customers about product terminology, features, and benefits to improve product-related sales and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.

Requirements

 Required Qualifications

• Technical expertise and knowledge of company products
• Problem-solving and analytical ability
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to perform basic Business Math (selling price, cost price, percentages, etc.)
• Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures
• Demonstrated understanding and application of effective selling strategies and techniques
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and distribution software
• At least two (2) years of experience in a face-to-face Customer Service role or similar position.
• Minimum education requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Manages time effectively, meets personal goals, and works effectively with other team members.
• Follows company policies and procedures
