Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of new formulations and providing technical support for Body Care products. Specific activities include formula and process optimization, validation, scale-up, in conjunction with Supply Chain, and implementation
- Partner with marketing and cross functional teams to build project timelines
- Actively participating in cross functional teams, Global Technology Centers, Technology Insights, Clinical, Regulatory and Global Supply Chain to develop and validate new concepts and products and ensure flawless commercialization including experimental design, measurement science and formulation.
- Assist in creating and maintaining required documentation such as project timelines, formula databases, tech transfer checklists, proof of claims, registration documents, NODs, change control documents, technical justifications , claims support fundamentals.
- Independently support multiple product design and implementation initiatives, effectively utilizing both internal and external resources to achieve project objectives.
- Initiate and manage multiple stability studies per ICH guidelines
- Staying abreast of supplier and competitor’s new developments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of functional experience OR MS Degree in Sciences with 3+ years of functional experience
- Technical understanding of related chemistry and science (for example: active deliveries, emulsions, surfactants, rheology).
- Strong knowledge of ingredient chemistry to be able to understand how the interdependencies and interactions of raw material components affect formulation and process performance.
- Experience scaling up formulations from the lab through manufacturing scale.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cGMP /GMP and GLP
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in process development and product scale up from lab to manufacturing
- Possess technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: surfactant chemistry, active agents, delivery systems, rheology and statistics/experimental design
- Understanding of industry/competitive trends, claim substantiation and regulatory requirements for EU cosmetic product
- Be a creative problem solver
- Possess excellent interpersonal and team skills; ability to communicate and influence and thrive in a cross functional environment
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $91 000,00 - $112 000,00 USD
Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.
