RESEARCH PROJECT COORDINATOR
The University of St. Thomas (UST), a private Catholic University committed to the liberal arts and the religious and intellectual tradition of Catholic higher education, is located in Houston, Texas, near the vibrant central business district, Texas Medical Center, and museum district, is seeking someone detail-oriented and mission-aligned to join the Nesti Center for Faith & Culture as a Research Project Coordinator. This is a temporary position of medium duration, lasting 18 months and possibly renewable for longer.
Responsibilities
- Managing contact information and procuring demographic information on Catholic schools (to assist in site selection)
- Reviewing literature for measures
- Finding curricula (ToB/relationship education)
- Reviewing literature on relationship education (e.g., social and emotional learning)
- Preparing IRB materials (This includes consent documents (which will be needed from all parents)
- Building a survey codebook
- Relating curricula to expected outcomes/measures
- Managing expenses and supporting any needed reporting
Education and Experience Qualifications
The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Background check.
- Willingness to undergo the relevant safe-environment training for contact with schools.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
- Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
- Commitment to the mission and values of the University of St. Thomas Houston.
