Research Program Coordinator

The Department of Neurology is seeking a Research Program Coordinator who will be responsible for implementing clinical research protocols related to understanding brain health in vulnerable populations including people with HIV, mental illness, and dementia in the Division of Neuroimmunology & Neurological Infections. This role requires a personable and dedicated individual with the ability and desire to help patients with diverse needs. A successful applicant must be well-organized and be able to work independently, as well as collaborate with the principal investigators and research team. In addition, a successful applicant must be thorough and detail-oriented when performing all aspects of the research including when conducting cognitive testing, scoring, and record keeping.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct participant telephone and in-person screening, schedule, and enroll research participants.
• Administer and score neuropsychological testing.
• Manage the collection and assure the accuracy of data for all participant visits.
• Assist the principal investigators in monitoring study progress and defining and planning study goals.
• Manage and maintain all participant binders, study binders, and documentation for the study.
• Assist with the preparation of IRB submissions and continuing review reports.
• Assist with biospecimen collection and follow protocol requirements for appropriate handling and labeling.

• Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Psychology, or related field

• Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
  

• Experience in Neuropsychological test administration, REDCap, EPIC, and adhering to IRB protocols.
