About the role

The Research Program Coordinator works with a team in medicine, public health, health economics, communications and other disciplines in planning, policy briefs, grant proposals and other projects, materials and digital approaches.

  • Works closely with the Director of Corporate and Government Relations on corporate and foundation research for partnership and/or funding.
  • Researches and develops resources; writes, edits, proofreads grants and proposals.
  • Maintains a recordkeeping system to track deadlines and outcomes.
  • Works with the Communications Manager in the editing of grant submissions.
  • Oversees projects and grants from start to finish which includes work plan supervision toward the fulfillment of deliverable grant requirements. This includes submission of grantor updates and requests in a timely manner.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness.
  • Works with CEO and COO in policy research and development.
  • Works with the CEO and Executive Editor in the development of Issue Briefs and other publications.
  • Develops, maintains and implements coherent guidelines for language usage and terminology for all ILC activities in collaboration with the Executive Editor.
  • Responds to request for information from foundation, corporations and agencies.
  • Works with the Finance Director in preparing and submitting financial reports.
  • Creates and maintains grant files and other files as needed.
  • Keeps abreast of government, business and foundation news on aging and ageism.
  • Participates in regular team meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Masters degree in Natural Sciences OR Bachelors degree in Natural Sciences plus 5 years of progressive research experience with some experience in research administration preferred.
  • 4 years of research experience (5 years if no Masters degree) in data management and study coordination in healthcare or basic research.
