Research Assistant

The Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering (WSE) is seeking a Research Assistant in the Center for Imaging Science. Under the supervision of a faculty investigator, the Research Assistant will conduct research, execute coding tasks, analyze data, collaborate with research partners, and assist with writing research papers. This position is expected to last one year.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs statistical research on data collected the P50 center for first episode psychosis, which is part of the Johns Hopkins Initiative for Medical Innovation and NeuroDiscovery (iMIND).
- Writes computer code when the study requires.
- Assists with the writing and editing of manuscripts.
- Presents research projects and their results at meetings and conferences.
- Assists with tasks on other research projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in basic statistical methods.
- Ability to use Python or R to perform statistical analysis.
- Previous research in statistics and/or neuroscience.
