JOB SUMMARY:  The Research and Development Training Coordinator supports the Research and Development Institute Director by coordinating training, research, and professional development initiatives across Positive Impact Health Centers. This role focuses on planning, coordination, implementation support, communication, and continuous improvement of training programs rather than managerial oversight.

The Coordinator assists with integrating diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) best practices into organizational training efforts and supports PIHC’s mission of delivering equitable, client-centered care to the HIV community.

The position plays a key role in enhancing staff performance, supporting program outcomes, coordinating training logistics, and facilitating research dissemination and learning across the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  

  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly PIHC staff trainings in collaboration with the Research and Development Institute Director
  • Support the development and implementation of DEIA-informed training strategies and initiatives
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and organizing Institute training programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals and program needs
  • Support Program Collaboration and Service Integration (PCSI) efforts within PIHC and with external community partners
  • Maintain and update internal communications related to training opportunities, including intranet postings, calendars, and newsletters
  • Serve as a coordination point for training and professional development requests submitted to the PIHC Institute
  • Assist program staff with organizing and coordinating abstract submissions, scientific writing efforts, and research presentations
  • Collaborate with program teams to capture and apply lessons learned to improve linkage to care, viral suppression, and patient retention outcomes
  • Create and maintain a centralized calendar of training, outreach, and Institute-related events
  • Support the management and upkeep of PIHC’s online training platform and learning resources
  • Model and promote PIHC’s organizational culture, values, and service philosophy

 Other Responsibilities  

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Research and Development Institute activities


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  •   Knowledge of DEIA principles, best practices, and inclusive training approaches
  •  Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency with virtual and in-person training platforms and learning technologies
  • Ability to research, coordinate, and evaluate training tools and resources
  •  Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of PIHC’s mission, culture, policies, and organizational structure
  •  Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with staff and communi
