What do we need?

We are looking for a Training Specialist to enhance the competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training programs that will boost employees workplace performance in alliance with company's core values. You will be responsible for performing training needs assessments, designing and delivering curriculum and learning materials and for managing all phases of training interventions.

What will you provide?

  • Assist in developing competency-based training and learning programs that align with performance requirements for assigned tasks and organizational core competencies
  • Deliver training in classroom or virtual environment for new hires, existing employees, and managers
  • Effectively manages the training environment to ensure compliance to organizational policies while delivering new employee orientation, job-specific, company-specific, e-learning, and other training solutions
  • Evaluates learner performance and effectiveness through the administration of varying testing methodologies
  • Communicates effectively with the applicable customer and/or manager related to both learner and course progression towards meeting expected outcomes
  • Conduct assessments to identify the performance, skills, knowledge, and information required for a desired training program
  • Coordinate and schedule trainings and support training initiatives
  • ·Provide assistance in support of Operational areas to include processing work to maintain subject matter knowledge, attend Operations team and Workgroup meetings, partner with areas to identify performance gaps and proactively develop training plan objectives
  • Enhance organizational competency by continually improving the effectiveness of individual training initiatives and the company wide training program
  • Prepare training materials (manuals, presentations) and educational aides
  • Assist in developing and implementing annual/semi-annual training refresher courses
  • Assist in maintaining metrics that indicate effectiveness of individual training programs and the overall effectiveness of training processes
  • Coach and develop employees on advanced learning objectives
  • Perform quality audits and audit feedback sessions
  • Provides status reports on trainees to Operations and Learning & Development Leadership
  • Supports Operations Managers by reinforcing workflow processes
  • Supports Employee Success Manager with administrative tasks and other duties assigned

Requirements

Professional Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in best practices and documented processes for a minimum of 1 line of service
  • Ability to complete cross-training of an additional line of service within
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to think analytically
  • Ability to manage a complex and fluid workload
  • Ability to listen, clarify, and confirm understanding
  • Ability to use and learn desktop and enterprise applications

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite or related software
  • Minimum of two years billing and follow up experience
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care Plans and Commercial plans
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT-4 coding
  • Understanding of refunds and recoupments
  • Understanding of Denials

Education and Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or high school diploma plus one-year related quality review/audit, insurance, or related work experience required
  • Two years-experience in claims processing or medical billing; preferably as a Claims Specialist I, Denials S
