ASMLAbout the role
Introduction to the job
The EUV Source team in San Diego operates in a fast-paced, uniquely innovative, and challenging environment to create new-to-industry solutions with rapid productization to support an aggressive commercialization plan for the EUV technology within ASML. The primary role of the Main Delivery Owner (MDO) is to work with the PL to manage the assigned engineering activities for Source Reliability, Availability, Diagnostics (RAD) project. This includes but is not limited to creating and tracking schedules, performance targets, resource plans, and general planning activities for the project deliverables. The MDO is responsible for ensuring that the proper elements of the Product Development Process (PDP) are known and adhered to across the engineering team, as well as assessing risk and mitigation strategies, leading the generation, verification and release of the deliverables, managing issues found during the validation and verification efforts utilizing feedback loop, and successfully releasing the qualified deliverables to our internal and external customers by achieving cross-sectoral alignment.
Role and responsibilities
The RAD MDO works very closely with the RAD PL and plans, coordinates and organizes the project team of architect(s) and integrator(s) to deliver all required project deliverables towards our customers: System Integration, Factory (EF) and Customer Support (CS) - fielded systems. Below are the responsibilities of the MDO in conjunction with the System Industrialization PL:
Manages scope assigned via alignment on triple constraints, with the relevant stakeholders.
Works with the PL to secure budget and manpower to successfully execute the project.
Reports on deliverable status and quality, towards Program (PL/PCM) and Line Management (GL/DM).
Provides input towards the Key Decision (KD) process to program (PL) and line management (GL).
Works with the PL to create, maintain and execute the project plan for the assigned scope aligned with System Engineering, EF, CS, Marketing and System Integration.
Manages the workload of the team including Architects and RAD engineers.
Drives the early risk reduction of RAD on proto and pilot systems.
Reports on readiness & status of project deliverables and availability and reliability waterfalls.
Analyses gaps in project deliverables, judges criticality based on impact towards the processes and escalates critical items to relevant stakeholders (line, program) when unable to solve.
Defines the right quality feedback loops on deliverables of the D&E projects and his/her own team. Analyses data (cycle time, process disturbances, material quality issues, etc.) that define the quality feedback loops and drives the required quality improvements.
Validates and releases qualified deliverables towards our customers (System Integration, EF and CS) and actively manages feedback loop from internal (System Integration & Factory) and external customers (CS).
Manages complex set of stakeholders by setting the necessary communication manners (meetings, guidelines, rules, reports etc.) in order to obtain inputs needed and reach alignment.
Crosses functional boundaries and builds constructive and effective relationships throughout the whole organization (Program: Upgrade and 6x PL, Sequence PL, PMs, PCMs, Marketing, System Engineering, Customer Support, Factory, and System Integration).
