The salary range for this role is: $ 160,000--$240,000K
The Opportunity:
The purpose of this role is to design and execute management reporting procedures, delivering management information and regulatory reports to facilitate business operations efficiently and proactively.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the transformation team to support the transition to a new reinsurance administration system (Duck Creek)
- Support the annual and periodic reinsurance planning and forecasting processes
- Collaborate on monthly reporting of reinsurance collateral and annual Schedule F reporting
- Monitor and ensure reinsurance processes and procedures align with monthly and quarterly regulatory and IFRS financial close requirements
- Develop strong relationships with key internal reinsurance stakeholders
- Work with business partners to promptly resolve any open issues related to reinsurance finance queries
- Lead, manage, and develop the team to ensure performance standards and support ongoing personal development
- Establish clear accountabilities and authority levels for direct reports to drive ownership and ensure delivery against goals
Work Experience:
Preferred Work Experience includes:
- Experience working in reinsurance accounting and reporting
- People management experience is required
- Proven experience contributing to and delivering on project objectives
Qualifications:
Necessary Qualifications include:
- Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Certified Public Accountant
Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate’s professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE’s annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
