Examples of duties
This position leads nursing activities on assigned shifts by supervising staff, supporting resident care, and maintaining safety and compliance within the facility. As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Staff Supervision: Guide nurses in daily treatments, care activities, and medication administration
- Resident Monitoring: Observe resident conditions, ensure timely reporting of changes, and review documentation for accuracy
- Work Planning: Assign tasks, determine priorities, and evaluate employee performance
- Complaint Review: Investigate resident and employee concerns and identify needed follow-up actions
- Safety Oversight: Identify health and safety risks and take corrective measures to maintain a secure environment
- Care Coordination: Plan and direct the delivery of health services to support resident well-being and quality of life

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40-hour work week
- Work hours are 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM) and include working every other weekend and a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
Special Requirements:
- This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
- If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
