Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Partum
Full Time - 12-hour Shifts
Night Shift (Hours: 7P- 7A)
Weekend & Holiday commitment

The ChristianaCare Postpartum Unit (6M/7M) is a 72-bed inpatient unit that cares for postpartum patients and their stable newborns in the Women’s and Children’s Building on the Newark campus.
The average length of stay is 2-3 days post birth and the unit supports rooming in and family centered care. A couplet care model is utilized so that an RN will be assigned both the delivered parent as well as the newborn as a portion of their overall assignment. A nursery is maintained primarily for emergency management or for short term convalescent care. Postpartum staff also support the care of newborns in our substance withdrawal program.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BSN required or commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire
- Experience in women's & children's services preferred
- Two years of Acute Care experience strongly preferred
- Delaware RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Delaware
- BLS certification required
- NRP preferred or must be obtained upon hire
- The following professional certifications are recognized and encouraged in this patient care area include: RNC-MNN, RNC-OB
