Registered Nurse – Pulmonary – Gainesville, FL

Location: Gainesville, FL
Schedule: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), Rotating Weekends

Compensation:

• 2 Years of Experience: $30.69/hour

• 5 Years of Experience: $33.71/hour

• 17+ Years of Experience: $43.20/hour

• Shift Differentials:

  • Nights: Additional $4.25/hour

  • Weekends: Additional $3.00/hour

Sign-On Bonus: $20,000
Relocation Assistance: $2,500–$5,000 for candidates relocating from 100+ miles away

Position Overview

We are currently hiring a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Pulmonary team in Gainesville, FL. This role involves providing care to patients requiring specialized pulmonary treatment in a fast-paced acute care setting. Nurses on this unit play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and collect comprehensive data related to the patient’s health status

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans

• Educate patients and families on treatments, procedures, and medications

• Promote patient safety and effective use of healthcare resources

• Ensure quality care that aligns with our patient-focused model

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 4 years)

• Licensure: Active Florida RN license or Multistate Compact License (required)

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required before start date

  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of hire

Additional Requirements

• Comfortable managing a 7:1 nurse-to-patient ratio

• Must live within a 60-minute commute of Gainesville, FL

• In-person interview required, including a shadow session and facility tour
