*Position for Registered Nurse (RN) includes a sign-on bonus of $3,500.00, which will be paid out over a one-year period at 6-month intervals.  Any employee leaving employment with the agency or moving to OPS prior to that timeframe will forfeit any additional bonus reimbursement. Returning employees must have left the Department for a period of 12 months or more to be ‎eligible for the sign-on bonus.

 

**OPS RN Weekend Warrior program available at the rate of $33.99/hour.  The eligible shifts Monday to Friday, 3PM to 11PM or 11PM to 7AM, and all shifts on Saturday and Sunday.  You must work at least one shift a pay period.  Does not have benefits.

The FDVA Nursing State Veterans’ Nursing Homes are designated employment sites for the Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness Program.

• From funds available, the program may make nursing education loan repayments of up to $4000 per year, per nurse enrolled in the program, for a maximum of four years.
• Payment is made at the end of each 12-month enrollment period and made directly to the participant’s lender.
• Enrollment and payment of awards is based on available funds.

This is a continuous advertisement for a Registered Nurse.  Multiple positions, varied shifts, and OPS (Temporary) candidates may be selected from advertisement within six (6) months of the closing date.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida.
• Must possess a current AHA BLS CPR certification.
• Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Successful completion of the due diligence process to include, but not limited to, a Level II background check and drug test.
