This position provides nursing activities and quality patient care to the female inmates at LCIW Infirmary.

Job Duties:
- Distribute medication
- Set up and assist with clinics, which include general practice clinic, gynecology clinic, dental clinic, dermatology clinic, and when needed psychiatric clinic. Assist with examinations and procedures.
- Makes regular patient rounds to observe and assess patients' physical conditions and behaviors, evaluates the quality of care provided, and ensures proper documentation of treatment.
- Conduct intake and/or admission of new residents, initiate medical charts, set up residents for lab and x-ray work.

Appointment Type: PROBATION, or PROMOTION OF A PERMANENT, CLASSIFIED LOUISIANA STATE EMPLOYEE
- Current permanent status classified LA State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if accepted.
- An employee selected for a promotion may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.
- This posting may also be used to fill a vacancy as a temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
