Description:
Position Purpose: In a hospital setting, a registered dietitian (RD) plays a crucial role in providing nutrition care and education to patients, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal nutritional outcomes and support patient recovery
What you will do:
*Provide medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for patients.
*Incorporate current evidence-based research into practice, utilizing the Nutrition Care Process
Displays strong communication skills and ability to interact in a positive manner with physicians, patients, families, and other hospital staff.
*Actively contributes to departmental initiatives, including committees and projects.
*Must be able to participate as a team member of the interdisciplinary team
*Weekend rotation required
Education: Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics or a closely related field
Certifications: Maintains current license to practice dietetics in current state (LD) and active certification as a Registered Dietitian (RD).
Work Experience: Minimum one-year experience as Registered Dietitian in clinical nutrition.
