Regional Security Manager, Amazon Corporate Security

About the role
Amazon Corporate Security (ACS) is looking for a new team member who embodies the Amazon Leadership Principles of Customer Obsession and Think Big, to join our team as a Principal. Amazon Corporate Security (ACS) manages all aspects of physical security at Amazon Corporate locations and is a leader in security management, policy, and best practices.
The Regional Security Manager (RSM) will join a team of security professionals who are responsible for managing Amazon’s Corporate Security programs worldwide. This high-visibility position will report to the Head of Corporate Security for the Americas and will be responsible for delivering ACS’s promise of a safe and secure work environment for all Amazonians by successfully managing: day-to-day security operations; large corporate special events; key customer engagements; budget; and all other security related challenges as directed. This role collaborates with other global ASM team members and several cross-functional ACS teams.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of attention to detail, clear and concise communication skills, and the ability to influence others and build relationships with peers and cross-functional teams.
This position can be based in Arlington, VA, New York City, or Boston, MA.
Key job responsibilities
• Build trust with internal Amazon customers by delivering best-in-class security services focused on enhancing the safety and security of all our associates
• Successfully manage a large security budget commensurate with the scope and scale of the area of responsibility
• Plan, develop, and implement security plans, policies, and programs, while coordinating with internal and external security partners
• Become the trusted security advisor to senior management and leaders across the organization through high-level communication and excellent briefing skills
• Oversee a large, contracted guard force across multiple locations throughout the region
• Identify and manage emerging threats
• Lead a comprehensive security risk assessments program
• Oversee security operations and logistics for large scale corporate events and high-profile visits
• Manage and triage incident reporting and review corporate security investigations
• Lead security incident and crisis response to resolution · Conducting comprehensive quality checks of all security services
• Monitor vendor Service Level Agreements/ Key Performance Indicators, capacity, and workflow plans for multiple functional areas
• Successfully align ACS metrics, goals, and strategic direction across functional area(s) in support of overall team mission
• Create goal-setting, performance management, and retention strategies across multiple teams
• Build and maintain professional relationships both internally and externally; developing a vast network of counterparts in both the public and private sectors
• Manage multiple security projects concurrently – establish and track project milestones and deliverables, and align key stakeholders
• Lead cross functional teams in construction security planning, design, and oversight for new and existing construction security projects
• BA/BS degree or equivalent documented educational hours of course study
• 10 + years of experience with progressive program management roles or equivalent experience ideally on a corporate or government security team
• 5+ years of experience managing strategic business operations and program plans
• CPP, PSP, CISSP, PMP or similar certification
• Understanding of crisis operations, risk management, and crisis communication best practices
• Substantive experience in physical security and technology
• Experience in providing security oversight at high-rise buildings or other office settings
• Experienced in corporate security for a global company
• Experience writing and publishing security standards and policies
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time with little to no notice
• Skilled in developing metrics and in conducting security-related trend analysis
• Experience in conducting basic investigations / fact finding
• Ability to design, develop, and deliver security awareness training programs
• Understanding of business continuity and incident command system
• Experience with the collection and analysis of threat intelligence
• Skilled in the management and use of SharePoint, Tableau, Asana, Smartsheet, or other collaboration and work management software
• Working knowledge of legal contracts, budgeting, and key terms

Basic Qualifications
• BA/BS degree or equivalent documented educational hours of course study
